Buyers searching for a plastic crusher machine price usually want a number. There is no single number, because a crusher is built around your scrap: the same 22 kW frame with a 415 x 230 mm chamber and the same frame with a 2000 x 800 mm chamber are not the same machine, and they are not the same price.
This page covers the complete Kaifeng crusher range – nine machine types from 1.1 kW side crushers up to the 150 kW OSJ2000 – and explains exactly which variables move the price, so you can tell us what you need and get a quote that holds.
What counts as a crusher
A crusher reduces regular moulded and extruded plastic: injection runners and sprues, pipes, profiles, sheet, packaging, blow-moulded bottles and hollow parts, boxes, shells, and off-spec finished products. The rotor turns at high speed and the moving knives shear the material against fixed bed knives. Output is a uniform regrind you can feed back into the machine or sell.
A shredder is a different class of machine, not a bigger crusher. It turns slowly with very high torque and tears material apart rather than cutting it, which is what you need for large, solid, thick-walled lumps – purging blocks, heavy wall sections, big hollow bodies. If your material is a solid block the size of a bucket, a crusher is the wrong tool and no amount of motor power fixes it.
If your scrap is in that second category, the shredder specification tables are the right starting point instead.

The five variables that move the price
Across every type in the range, the same five things drive the number. Two machines from the same series can differ by a factor of three on price and the difference is entirely in these five.
1. Chamber and rotor size
Feed opening and spindle length set how much material enters per cycle and how much torque the rotor has to carry. In the OSJ series that runs from 600 x 350 mm on a 600 mm spindle to 2000 x 800 mm on a 2000 mm spindle – roughly a tenfold difference in swept volume, and the frame, bearings and drive all scale with it.

2. Drive power
Power is matched to the shear hardness and wall thickness of your material, not to throughput alone. A 415 x 230 mm chamber can be supplied from 7.5 kW on soft thin-wall scrap or up to 30 kW on hard thick sections. Undersizing the motor is the single most common cause of a crusher that jams; oversizing wastes energy on every hour of running.
3. Knife count and blade metallurgy
Moving knife counts run from 3 on the flat blade series to 30 on the largest slice and claw configurations, with 2 to 4 fixed bed knives. More knives means a finer, more uniform regrind and a higher price. Standard blades are imported alloy steel; SKD-11 and DC53 are available as an option – specify them if you are running glass-filled or abrasive material.
4. Hydraulic assist and frame mass
Hydraulic chamber opening turns a two-hour knife change into minutes, and the hydraulic unit is 1.5 kW on OSJ600 to OSJ1200 and 2.2 kW on OSJ1600 and OSJ2000. Frame weight is the other half of the equation: a heavier welded frame absorbs impact and holds knife clearance under load, which is why machine weight across the range runs from 1,530 kg to 10,500 kg.

5. Screen, collection and control options
Screen aperture decides the output particle size and is selected to your next process step – typically 6 to 12 mm on side crushers, coarser on primary reduction. Dust separation, pneumatic lift, automatic recycling systems and collection bins are quoted per application, and a complete system with conveyor feed, blower and silo is a different project from a bare machine.
How the OSJ heavy-duty series compares
Ten standard configurations, published factory figures, all CE certified. Every number below is as-built data rather than an estimate.

| Modelo | Potência (kW) | Moving knives | Fixed knives | Feed inlet (mm) | Spindle (mm) | Weight (kg) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| OSJ600 | 22/30 | 2 x 3 | 2 | 600 x 350 | 600 | 1,530 |
| OSJ600 | 22/30 | 2 x 3 | 2 | 600 x 430 | 600 | 1,760 |
| OSJ800 | 37/45/55 | 2 x 3 | 2 | 800 x 430 | 800 | 2,580 |
| OSJ800 | 37/45/55 | 2 x 5 | 4 | 800 x 600 | 800 | 3,150 |
| OSJ1000 | 55/75/90 | 2 x 3 | 4 | 1000 x 600 | 1000 | 3,620 |
| OSJ1000 | 55/75/90 | 2 x 5 | 4 | 1000 x 800 | 1000 | 3,850 |
| OSJ1200 | 75/90/110 | 2 x 5 | 4 | 1200 x 600 | 1200 | 4,200 |
| OSJ1200 | 75/90/110 | 2 x 5 | 4 | 1200 x 800 | 1200 | 4,580 |
| OSJ1600 | 75/90/110/132 | 3 x 5 | 4 | 1600 x 700 | 1600 | 7,580 |
| OSJ2000 | 150 | 4 x 7 | 8 | 2000 x 800 | 2000 | 10,500 |
Where the same model and power appears twice it is a different chamber width, not a duplicate. All models CE certified; blade metallurgy, voltage and hopper geometry are quoted per order.
Matching blade type to your scrap
This is the single decision that changes the price most, and it follows from the material rather than from budget.
| Your material | Recommended type |
|---|---|
| PET bottles, blow-moulded parts, thin wall shells | Flat blade (PD) |
| PVC pipe, profiles, plate, packaging film | Slice blade (PP) |
| Hard, thick-walled parts, rubber heads, shoe lasts | Claw blade (PZ) |
| Film, large hollow bodies, soft plastics | V blade (PV) |
| Large rigid mouldings, mixed heavy scrap | Heavy-duty (OSJ) |
| Sheet, plate and long profiles fed horizontally | Heavy plate (KF-OSJ) |
| Injection sprues and runners beside the machine | Medium / slow side crusher |
| Extrusion edge trim, recycled inline | Online edge crusher |
| Solid thick lumps and purging blocks | Not a crusher – see shredders |
What we need to quote you accurately
Four answers are enough to quote without a site visit in most cases:
- Material – what the scrap actually is (PET bottles, PVC pipe, PP runners, ABS housings) and whether it is clean or contaminated.
- Required output – kilograms per hour you need to process, and the regrind size your next process accepts.
- Largest piece – the biggest single item that has to fit the feed opening.
- Site details – voltage and frequency, destination port, and whether you need a standalone machine or a line with conveyor, blower and silo.

FAQ
How much does a plastic crusher machine cost?
There is no list price because the machine is configured to your scrap. The price is set by five variables: chamber and rotor size, drive power, knife count and blade metallurgy, hydraulic assist and frame mass, and the screen and collection options. Send material type, required hourly output, largest piece and site voltage and you will get a firm configuration price.
Why is there no price on this page?
Because two machines from the same series can differ by a factor of three. A 415 x 230 mm chamber with a 7.5 kW drive and a 2000 x 800 mm chamber with a 150 kW drive are both crushers, but quoting one number for both would mislead you and waste your time.
Should I buy a crusher or a shredder?
It depends on the material, not the budget. A crusher handles regular moulded and extruded plastic – runners, pipes, profiles, sheet, bottles, boxes – and produces uniform regrind at high rotor speed. A shredder turns slowly with high torque and is built for large, solid, thick-walled lumps such as purging blocks. If your scrap is a solid block, a crusher will not do the job regardless of motor size.
How many knives do I need?
Moving knife counts run from 3 on the flat blade series up to 30 on the largest slice and claw configurations, with 2 to 4 fixed bed knives. More knives gives a finer and more uniform regrind and costs more. For PET bottles and thin wall parts the flat blade layout with 3 to 9 moving knives is usually sufficient; for hard thick sections the claw layout with 12 to 30 knives holds up better.
